Annette has been in practice as a legal practitioner since 1995, specialising in family law in both Brisbane and Melbourne firms, as well as country Victoria. Annette has significant experience in providing advice on all aspects of family law, including complex property and parenting matters, drafting financial agreements and property settlements, drafting of child support agreements and assisting in the child support review process, and litigation in property and parenting matters. Annette’s focus on alternative dispute resolution such as mediation at an early stage has led her to settling the majority of her matters, resulting in less costs and heartache for her clients.
Annette became a Family Law Accredited Specialist in Victoria in 2005. She has a strong interest in alternate dispute resolution, having become a nationally accredited mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in 2012. She has previously been a Board Member of a large counselling organisation and understands well the need for strong, emotional support services for those undergoing separation.
Annette enjoys keeping up to date with family law issues and is an active member of the Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Family Law Council Family law section and Family Law Practitioners Association in Queensland. She has a long history of volunteer work with various Legal Services in Melbourne and Brisbane.
Annette has also trained as an Independent Children’s Lawyer.
