Lorraine commenced her legal career as a junior Law Clerk at the age of 15 years with J. Allan Anderson & Son Solicitors at 472 Bourke Street, Melbourne. Her love of the Law began in that small office. After fifteen years of “home duties” with a growing family she gained her Law degree after studying at Queenland and Melbourne Universities. Prior to that she obtained her Senior Certificate (now VCE) at Coorparoo High School in Brisbane.
Since 1985 Lorraine has been in Practice with the firm formerly known as Seton Williams & Smyth and became a Partner in 1989.
During the past twenty five years of dedicated effort, Lorraine has honed her skills in all areas of Law but now only concentrates on Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probate and Letters of Administration. Such areas of Law require experience, maturity and compassion.
In her opinion, to help clients in sad times and through their grief as well as attending to the complexities of Law is most rewarding. In the Black Saturday Bushfires, the firm lost loyal clients and Lorraine has been able to assist in the wider ramifications of that tragic day.
To act as legal advisor to old and new clients, their children and even now their grandchildren is more than reward for effort and Lorraine hopes to continue for many years to come.
