Naomi Guyett

Senior Associate

Naomi joined Lorraine Jones & Associates in 2015 after having taken time out of professional practice to raise twin girls. After her admission in 2000, Naomi was employed by a National law firm which primarily serviced small to medium business owners. By 2011, she was a Partner at a Top Ten National Law Firm.

Naomi has practised exclusively in the area of Wills and Estates for almost 20 years. In 2006, Naomi gained accreditation from the Law Institute of Victoria as a Wills + Estates Specialist. Naomi is also a member of the Law Institute of Victoria's Specialisation Board (which oversees the Accredited Specialisation Scheme) and is currently a Co-Chair of the Wills + Estates Specialisation Advisory Committee - which sets, examines and marks the examination components for applicants seeking to become accredited as Wills + Estates specialists. Naomi is also a member of the global organisation known as STEP - Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Naomi has played key roles in landmark County Court and Supreme Court estate litigation and has acted for Executors in defending Will litigation claims as well as for plaintiffs challenging Wills and seeking further and/or proper provision from deceased estates.

Naomi is a regular instructor and presenter at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law for Practical Legal Trainee Students and also conducts professional development seminars and workshops for practitioners and legal support staff throughout the year. She has also presented at seminars for various accounting firms, financial planners and trustee companies.

In 2016 she was awarded a Certificate of Service by the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) for her services and contribution to the LIV and to the Legal Profession.

In 2019, Naomi has been recognised by her peers as a leader specifically in Wills + Estates Litigation by being included as a recommended lawyer in the prestigious "Doyle's Guide" Listings/Rankings for 2019.
